Arrivo – Privacy policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
1. Introduction
Arrivo shows public transport in Sarajevo, Banja Luka and Tuzla: live vehicle positions, arrivals, timetables, lines and stops. This policy explains what data the app uses, where it goes and how it is protected. It applies to the Arrivo apps for iOS and Android.
2. Information we collect
Arrivo has no accounts and does not collect, store or share personal data such as your name, email address, phone number, address, payment details, contacts or photos.
The app contains no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and it does not build a profile of you.
3. Your location
With your permission, the app uses your device's location to show where you are on the map and to find the stops near you. The app itself uses your location only on your device: it does not send it to our server or to any service listed below (apart from Mapbox's map software, see section 5), and does not store it. You can turn location access off at any time in your device settings; the app keeps working without it.
4. Public transport data
The app downloads public transport data: timetables, live vehicle positions, lines, stops and service notices. It comes from the operators' public services – Javni prevoz Kantona Sarajevo (javniprevozks.ba), SatBUS Banja Luka (satcity.satwork.net) and GIPS Tuzla (gipstk.com) – directly or through Arrivo's own server (api.arrivo-overview-api.uk).
These requests contain no personal data. Our server does not keep access logs and does not use your IP address for anything other than answering the request.
5. Third-party services
To work, the app also connects to these services. Like any internet connection, each of them receives your IP address and basic technical data (device type, operating system):
- Open-Meteo and WAQI provide weather and air quality. The app asks them for the city centre, never for your location.
- LocationIQ answers address searches. It receives the text you type and the city's area, never your location (LocationIQ privacy policy).
- Mapbox draws the map. Its map software may collect technical and map usage data and, if you allow location access, anonymised location data that Mapbox uses to improve its maps (Mapbox privacy policy).
- The public transport operators listed in section 4.
6. Data on your device
The app stores your settings, favourite stops and lines, downloaded data updates and the data its widgets show on your device only. It never leaves your device, and it is deleted when you uninstall the app. Notifications, such as those for a trip you follow, are created on your device.
7. Sharing data with third parties
We do not share, sell or rent personal data to anyone. Since we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to share.
8. Data security
All connections use encryption (HTTPS). Data kept on your device is protected by your operating system's security mechanisms.
9. Children
The app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 and contains no content unsuitable for children.
10. Your rights
You can turn off location access at any time, delete the app together with all data stored on your device, and ask us any question about your privacy or this policy.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date of its last change; significant changes are also announced in the app.
